TEXAS WORKFORCE COMMISSION Dual Customer Coordinator (Austin-Onsite) in Austin, Texas

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), a Certified Best Place for Working Parents, is seeking a CCRC Dual Customer Coordinator (DCC) (Program Specialist II) to join the CCRC Administration Department located at 4800 N Lamar Blvd in Austin, Texas.

You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.This position requires in office work.

Under the direct supervision of the CCRC Director, the CCRC Dual Customer Coordinator (DCC) performsmoderately complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical support in the areas of blindness skills training and employment for job seekers with disabilities and business partners. Work at this level is performed under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

This position provides support to CCRC customers and business partners to assists in developing opportunities that help prepare customers for competitive integrated employment, increase the competitive advantage for CCRC customers, and dispel public misconceptions of blindness.

The DCC is responsible for marketing to employers, community partners and recruiting customers for CCRC services.

The DCC develops and maintains relationships with the Business Relations Coordinator and Employment Assistance Specialists teams.

Promotes awareness of what is possible through the development of marketing materials including webinars, workshops, podcasts and other media formats highlighting the CCRC advantage.

The purpose of this role is to serve as a liaison to customers and staff with obtaining necessary tools, supports and opportunities to progress toward IPE goals.

The DCC develops and maintains ongoing business relationships with workforce centers, community partners and stakeholders.

The DCC maintains current knowledge of the blindness field, and employment trends to promote the mission and values of CCRC, provides employment-related service to businesses to establish potential employment opportunities for CCRC customers and serve as a support to center training and special projects.

GENERAL DUTIES: -Completes at least 2 annual Community-wide employment awareness events conducted in partnership with business, stakeholders and/or other VR partners. -Develops and coordinates annual recruitment plan for specific goals and strategies that promote awareness of CCRC, job opportunities for the blind, the importance of accessibility and VR services. -Updates CCRC web site and other media to promote helpful information for CCRC students, staff and partners. -Serves as back-up to the Admissions Coordinator for providing tours, processing tour referrals and provide tours on request from community partners. -Coordinates worksite supports and evaluations as needed for CCRC customers. -Coordinates partnerships with regional Workforce Centers through regular contacts to support CCRC customers to ensure access to workforce programs. -Conducts exit surveys and document quarterly follow-up on CCRC students after completing training. -Serves as an ava lable liaison for the field regarding CCRC programs, initiatives while keeping informed on state-wide initiatives. -Participates in special projects and work groups as requested or assigned. -Participates in CCRC training activities -Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: -Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university plus six months of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency. -One year of full-time experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education. -Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
