Desktop Support Tier 1 Technician TEKsystems is looking to add a desktop suppport technician to help a long time client with their IT operations. Below is some of the skills and requirements needed for you to be considered. Location: Austin, TX Responsibilities:

• User Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

• Software Installation: Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and utilities.

• Hardware Maintenance: Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and repairs.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and user interactions.

• Remote Assistance: Assist remote users with technical problems.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in desktop support or a related field.

• Technical Skills:Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, email clients, and basic networking concepts.

• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.

• Customer Service: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Certifications (optional but preferred):CompTIA A+ or similar.

• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
