Customer & Growth Consulting Pharma Solution Manager - Life Sciences

The opportunity

EY has a robust life sciences commercial practice, helping clients with strategic growth, business transformation, and commercial excellence. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries. You will be an integral member of our life sciences consulting team and spend most of your time focused on providing client services in the following areas: product marketing, business transformation, commercial operations, commercial strategy and business support of technology implementation.

Your key responsibilities

A majority of your time will be spent supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain focused on creating transformation in the promotional review process and supporting our AI/Machine Learning tool EY Smart Reviewer.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds

  • Leading large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering quality client services

  • Monitoring progress, managing risk and ensuring key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes

  • Managing expectations of client service delivery and staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business

  • Fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization

  • Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships and networks.

  • Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs

  • Remaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology

  • 6+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas:

  • Brand strategy

  • Commercial operations model transformation

  • Digital campaign management strategy

  • Experience with commercial operations and analytics

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • The executive presence to interact with the C-Suite

  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs - travel is estimated at 30%

  • Significant advisory/consulting experience is within life sciences is required

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Life science or biomedical background and experience in data analytics and commercial operations

  • PhD in life sciences or bio-focused engineering discipline
