Provide short-term individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and prevention and outreach services to undergraduate and graduate students.Conduct initial assessments of students' presenting concerns. Conduct short-term counseling with students referred for service.Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all service contacts as required by center policies and procedures.Develop and implement a good blend of programmatic interventions which address the psycho-social mental health needs of students in the Asian and Asian-American population.Identify group assignment preferences and propose/develop new groups, as appropriate.Initiate advertising/recruitment and screening for group.Facilitate groups in accordance with service agreement.Demonstrate knowledge about group counseling and/or seek appropriate training.Provide clinical training and supervision to social work and psychology interns, as well as pre-doctoral psychology practicum students.Provides individual supervision of interns, practicum students, or psychiatric residents.Provides individual supervision of group co-leaders.Supervises interns' supervision of practicum students.Co-leads training seminars.Offers and supervises preceptorships and apprenticeships for interns.Participates on training-related committees.Participates in training activities during the orientation period.Timely signature on clinical documentation and communication with supervisor of relevant issues.Provide clinical consultation to others on an as-needed basis and seeks consultation when appropriate. Provide urgent care services as necessary to students.Works collaboratively and cooperatively with other mental health professionals on CMHC's multidisciplinary staff and other university departments and organizationsDevelops linkages with key contacts of the designated population or issue for the purpose of developing and implementing programmatic interventions which generate substantial participation by students.Consulting as needed to support Asian and Asian-Amercan students.Reviews client record to determine the progress, effectiveness, and appropriateness of treatment services offered. Maintains current, accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal law, professional ethics, and Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC), policies. Coordinates referrals between CMHC and university or community service providers.Other required activitiesAttend and participate in departmental and division meetings and staff development programs as assigned.Participates in the prevention and outreach team meetings by contributing new ideas, engaging in problem solving and seeking better ways to impact the mental health needs of all students and specifically Asian and Asian-American students.Comply with all CMHC and UT policies, procedures, and guidelines.May be assigned other relevant duties as applicable
