Description

We are seeking a Controller based in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will manage a team of accounting professionals, oversee the administration and troubleshooting of the accounting system, and ensure the accurate preparation of consolidating financial statements. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with the risk management team and liaise with the external statutory audit firm.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidated financial reporting for US entities - review journal entries, general ledger and reallocations

• Optimize the use of NetSuite accounting system

• Review and update current SOPs and help with automation where possible

• Identify and rectify root causes of any issues or delays in the accounting processes

• Establish and maintain internal controls and research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and statutory requirements

• Serve as a liaison to external auditors and other departments for timely flow of payments and policies

• Implement and improve policies and procedures in all areas

• Design processes and work with the rest of the accounting team to meet statutory accounting filing requirements

Requirements

• Must hold a certified public accountant (CPA) qualification

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a controller or similar role

• Experience in statutory financial reporting and preparing statutory financial statements

• Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software

• Experience in preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Must have a keen attention to detail.
