HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION Compliance Analyst III in AUSTIN, Texas

Job/Position DescriptionCompliance Analyst IIIThis position is grant funded for a period not expected to exceed 18 months; and is responsible for assisting the Disaster Case Management, Operations Manager with the data and reporting component of the case management program. Essential Job FunctionsProvide expert monitoring and evaluation to subrecipients (i.e. member agencies of consortium) ensuring they meet state evaluation requirements, contract terms, DCM policies, DCM disaster case management best practices and any other requirements the consortium encounters.-Ensure the on-going incorporation of effective monitoring and evaluation consortium-wide.-Compile data for monthly, quarterly and annual reports to be presented to community stakeholders such as the State of Texas and FEMA.-Oversee compliance/data and reporting reviews in person or in writing as needed.-Implement strategies to meet best practice standards.-Assure compliance with rules and standards wide. Be alert to changes and ensure that all requirements are effectively communicated to consortium members.-Oversee and remediate deficiencies associated with contracted services and service providers.-Report on outcomes of disaster case management ensuring increased disaster response competencies.-Ensure ongoing compliance with standards, contract requirements and service level indicators.-Work in partnership with program management staff to identify training needs.-Remain current with regulations, policy changes, legal issues affecting case management consortium.-Prepare, compile, submit, and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics, and additional relevant information on case management project in accordance with HHSC policy, licensing and funding requirements.-Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and other activities that promote professional growth and development.Act as a liaison with consortium members to facilitate effective communication and coordination.-Extensive travel/driving required.Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsKnowledge Skills AbilitiesInitial Screening CriteriaMastersand#146; Degree preferred-A minimum of two years experience in monitoring and evaluation activities.-Two years expertise in disaster response, including the management and supervision of service delivery to disaster survivors. -Two years of relevant experience in program development and evaluation. -Computer literacy.-Knowledge of disaster survivors needs and modalities.-Possess exceptional interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.-Must be detail oriented.-Ability to travel extensively.-Possess sensitivity to the service populationand#146;s cultural and socio-economic characteristics. -Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.-Possess a valid driverand#146;s license and have an excellent driving record.Additional InformationMilitary occupation(s) that relate to the initial selection criteria and registration or licensure requirements forthis position may include: NM, 230X, 4COX1.
