Work involves stocking, arranging, and transferring office furniture and hospital supplies; monitoring warehouse operations for compliance with established security requirements and procedures. Works under general supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Performs special projects related to the support of the financial operations of the hospital. Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis and may be asked to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.Loads and unloads furniture, stock and merchandise as directed.Maintains, stocks, and issues materials, equipment, supplies, merchandise or other inventory.Conducts inventory of stock or merchandise and reviews inventory control records and reports.Maintains records of purchases, assigns inventory numbers to items, monitors inventory and stock control records following loss prevention and agency guidelines.Stocks shelves and hospital supplies as required and provides assistance to employees in finding office furniture and other products. Performs routine inventories and compiles and maintains an inventory database in accordance with HHSC Property Operations. Records sales and collects cash, receipts, and coupons according to established guidelines and fiscal control procedures.Disposes of surplus property or spoiled products and arranges and rotates merchandise.May operate a forklift and perform minor equipment maintenance.Assists with support work for the CAFM software to include data entry, system maintenance and technical support activities for Plant Maintenance personnel using the system.Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation.
