THE POSITION
Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid intern program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in the live event business. This is a part-time position, up to 20 hours per week.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The objective of this internship is to gain knowledge and perspective within the below departments. You will learn the essential roles and responsibilities needed to start the groundwork for any successful C3 festival or live event.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Artist Relations:
Assist in staffing for all areas of Artist Relations (including Artist Transportation, Hospitality, Ambassadors, Artist Credentials, and more)
Learning how to navigate Artist Relations Outlook, SharePoint, and other useful platforms
Assist in reconciling invoices and reimbursements
Gain first-hand experience on-site with the Artist Relations department
Digital Strategy:
Assist with data analysis
Learn and analyze the festival customer journey
Assist with quality assurance of marketing technology across milestones
Assist with setup, configuration, and audits of all customer facing technologies
Assist with market research
Learn, implement, and teach others how to use automation tools
Travel:
Learning how to use Travel Services such as: SWABIZ, C3PO, and Concur
Assisting with coordinating travel plans to staffers for upcoming events
Helping to manage room lists, airfare, and ground transportation for traveling staff
Gaining knowledge on hotel contracts and the billing process for upcoming events
Learning how to understand and reconcile travel service invoices
Assist in reconciling flights booked on the travel corporate card
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
This role requires you to be in our Austin, TX office. This is not a remote internship opportunity
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
Creative thinker and problem solver
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy
A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
Business, Accounting or Communication Studies majors preferred
Strong communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be a self-motivated, flexible team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
