As the Austin Business Center (ABC) Manufacturing Leader you will lead a world class team of technical operations engineers, manufacturing support personnel and manufacturing specialists that put their heart and soul in making high quality technical products that will help to ensure our military personnel are as safe as possible.

The ABC Manufacturing Director reports to the CEMA Business Area Operations Director and will serve as the factory lead dedicated to manufacturing of our products that meet and exceed requirements for Quality, Delivery, and Cost while driving a continuous Improvement culture. The candidate will manage operations related plans, budgets, policies, and procedures while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance for the manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate proven performance of leading complex electro-mechanical and high mix Circuit Card Assembly manufacturing with integration and test.

  • Successfully execute Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost factory metrics.

  • Establish a work environment of openness and trust where employees are challenged, developed, and collaborate as a team to achieve the business objectives.

  • Lead factory transformation, growth and continuous improvement strategies and provide ownership on implementation and execution.

  • Support the Business Area capital strategy by identifying opportunities of improvements and executing projects on time and budget.

  • Responsible for factory utilization, expenses, and staffing within established targets and growth plans.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • A Bachelors Degree

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with the following:

  • Product Transition to Production as well as Ramp to Rate production

  • Proven success in Lean and Operational Excellence best practices in manufacturing

  • Deep understanding of Lean 6 Sigma Principles and its application

  • Leadership skills working with cross functional teams

  • Proven background of delivering results in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • A Masters Degree is preferred

  • Experience working with Supply Chain

  • Knowledge of AS9145/APQP and its application

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Equivalent

  • Creative and innovative Problem solver with a diverse background of experiences

  • Previous experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

  • Background of leadership of organizations of 250 people or more

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $164000 - $278800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
