Job/Position DescriptionThe Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid and CHIP Services (MCS) division seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Audit Management Project Manager (PM III). The ideal candidate brings curiosity about process improvement, skill in organization and task tracking, and a desire to solve complex problems.The Audit Management Project Manager (Audit PM) reports to the Audit Management Manager in the office of MCS Strategic Business Operations. As part of the MCS Audit Management team, the Audit PM is responsible for overseeing and ensuring effective coordination of compliance activities associated with the Medicaid and Childrenand#146;s Health Insurance Programs. The Audit PM maintains quality control over audit communications including auditor requests, management responses, implementation plans, and other audit activities. The individual selected for the position will provide guidance and support to MCS staff involved in audit responses and coordination; routinely coordinate and communicate with audit staff, stakeholders, agency leadership, and other relevant parties across the HHS system; and ensure accurate and timely audit tracking and reporting. The Audit PM interprets and presents data related to audit topics, audit deadlines, and risks to the agency. The Audit PM works under general supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Coordinates development of departmental risk assessments, management responses and updates, and oversight of finding-related initiatives and corrective action measures to meet critical deadlines. Work involves researching, analyzing, and evaluating complex policies and procedures. The Audit PM works with auditors to understand MCS program areas, their policies, governing regulations, and procedures. The Audit PM reviews and edits audit deliverables such as management responses, audit action plan reports, and reports to stakeholders. (30%) Serves as liaison and project manager for audit coordination and implementation. This includes coordination between MCS teams, as well as with other HHSC staff, timely documentation of audit activities in Audit Management shared tracking systems and the agency audit findings management system. This also includes alerting leadership to concerns related to audit responses and post-audit actions. (20%) Oversees the coordination and development of audit processes and procedures for MCS. This includes preparation using SharePoint, Visio or other software to communicate information to audit stakeholders. (20%) Prepares and communicates reports of MCS audit activities; actively participates in audit stakeholder group meetings; updates audit activities in audit tracking systems. Reviews current and projected audit timelines to identify and mitigate risks to the agency. (20%)Researches new or improved systems and best practices for audit management.
