Required Skills:

ASIC Engineer, Architecture Responsibilities:

1. Work with AI/ML experts in the company to architect state-of-the art machine learning accelerators for the most computationally intensive workloads running on Meta’s data centers.

2. Analyze and implement algorithms on hardware accelerators, develop functional and performance models of the architecture and conduct extensive functional and performance analysis using these models.

3. Define test plans to validate the architecture, develop functional tests based on the plan and collaborate with the design verification team to drive the test plan to closure.

4. Collaborate with the design team to ensure that the ASIC meets its area, frequency and power goals, and help debug, root-cause and resolve functional failures in the design.

5. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and two years of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires two years of experience in:

6. 1. Experience and knowledge of Computer Architecture concepts such as microprocessor architecture, memory systems and on-chip interconnection networks
7. 2. Programming in industry-standard language such as C/C++ or SystemC
8. 3. Software development practices including knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, data structures and mapping complex algorithms to software
9. 4. Knowledge of scripting using Python, Perl or similar scripting language for automation
10. 5. Knowledge of memory sub-systems including cache hierarchy, to design highly efficient and performant memory sub-systems for very high bandwidth and low latency computer systems
11. 6. Knowledge of SoC architecture and design, SoC performance modeling and analysis.

Public Compensation:

$160,148/year to $192,170/year + bonus + equity + benefits
