PLANNING DATA STEWARD – REMOTE LOCATION

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Data Steward is responsible for developing the data governance policies, in partnership with the Data & Analytics Team, on governance strategy, best practices etc. that are used throughout the organization, as well as defining the end-to-end planning data scope, use cases and level of importance to design and implement governance policies.

  • Defines the end-to-end planning master data scope, use cases and level of importance to design and implement governance policies.

  • Conducts planning data definition, completes ongoing management of a data dictionary with E2E planning requirements and owners.

  • Develops data governance playbooks for E2E planning, outlining processes to manage / check data as well as data usage policies.

  • Manages data inputs into Planning toolsets (o9) and evaluates and conducts audits of data to ensure alignment to predefined business rules.

  • Partners with internal partners, inside and outside of planning, to set master data governance, processes, and policies. Aligns on cadence for audits and escalation paths to resolve issues (Item Master, BOM Data, Customer, Vendor Data).

  • Partners with internal partners, inside and outside of planning to set transactional data governance, processes, and policies for non-master data (inventory data, co-manufacturing data, promotional plans, sales forecasts, financial forecasts, NPI project trackers).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business management or equivalent experience.

  • High level of integrity and ethical behavior.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven problem solving and continuous improvement skills.

  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident or have the authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred

  • 2 years of experience in supply chain data management.

  • Experience with AS/400 Warehouse Management System

  • Experience in the logistics, transportation organization or at a distribution center.

  • Efficiency in Excel and general knowledge of other MS Office applications required.

  • Experience using End to End Planning Solutions

LOCATION: REMOTE

A comprehensive relocation package to the Austin, MN area will be offered, if required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel may be necessary 10% of the time.

BENEFITS: Hormel Foods offers an excellent benefits package. Competitive base salary plus bonus, annual merit increase performance reviews, medical, dental, vision, non-contributory pension, profit sharing, 401(k), stock purchase plan, relocation assistance, paid vacation.

The base pay range is $76,000 to $105,000 per year; however, actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
