Maintenance Technician - Certifications/Education +++

Job Description

• Maintenance Technician could be placed in the Labeling, Processing, Facilities, or Cooker department depending on where your skills fit best.

• Candidates will be responsible for performing maintenance on batching equipment, mixers, tanks, cook kettles, pumps, valves, conveyors, belts, motors, and packaging equipment.

• This is a very mechanical job some electrical maintenance involved.

• Electrical tasks would include working with sensors, switches, and changing out motors.

• When not performing reactive maintenance, you will document work orders.

Environment

• Each department is different, so candidates can expect the climate to be controlled, hot, or cold.

• The whole facility is kept fairly clean and this is an FDA-regulated environment.

• Candidates will be required to have steel-toed boots, hair net, beard net, and ear plugs.

• You must also wear a white or blue coat and adhere to the handwashing policy.

• Annual SQF training and OSHA safety training are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Troubleshooting

• Preventative Maintenance

• Certificates - Any type qualifies (Union)
