What You Will Be Doing:

As a Service Manager Trainee, you will shadow and train with established service managers as you learn to lead technicians in the daily service operations of your assigned location. You will also be responsible for hiring and developing employees, as well as addressing employee issues. As a service manager, you will be fully responsible for the financial performance of the assigned cost center, so you will learn to create an operating budget, control costs, build loyal customers, and meet financial objectives.

Training will cover a variety of topics including:

  • Creating a safe workplace and developing a “Safety First” culture.

  • Hiring and developing employees through coaching, issuing evaluations, and motivating the team.

  • Daily operation, including controlling costs, building loyal customers, meeting financial objectives, and establishing good employee relations.

  • Ensuring job standards are met, arrange work assignments to cover for vacancies and absences, and keeping attendance records.

  • Assisting customers in the resolution of complaints regarding parts and service.

    Who We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this position you should have prior leadership experience, possess strong problem solving skills and a strong focus on customer service. You should be able to lead by example and act as mentor, motivator, and director to those that report under you.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.

  • Possess the necessary problem-solving skills to meet the needs of our customers and employees.

  • Excellent people skills with customer service experience.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Specific industry experienced desired or an equivalent college degree.
