Description
Organize, catalog, and control the distribution of technical data maintained in the Technical Library, both physical and virtual, as well as provides reference and research support to library users.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Catalogs technical data, based on industry and professional library standards released to the Technical Library from a variety of sources.
Reproduces data on demand for distribution to internal and external users, as well as newly released data per defined distribution policies.
Controls document distribution from the Technical Library.
Maintains oversight and control of Library external subscription services and documents.
Works with Lead Librarian on technical support of Library software and related systems including metadata structure.
Working with Lead Librarian and Legal department, provides direct support and oversight of technical information exports.
Provides reference support to the users of the CHI Technical Library, specifically assisting them in using the resources available and with research support.
Processes, tracks, and updates distributed and returned controlled data transmittals.
Maintains the organization of data in the Technical Library (both physical and virtual) by updating web presence; ordering and maintaining up-to-date technical data and specifications; and checking-in, filing and shelving documents and materials.
Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in Library Science required.
2 years’ experience working in a technical library environment. Experience operating independently as a professional librarian.
Background in aviation or related field helpful.
Experience with library cataloging software and general cataloging standards and practices.
Familiarity with the practices and procedures of special libraries.
Proven ability to effectively support a diverse group of user’s needs in a library setting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Proficient sills with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn other applications.
