Columbia Helicopters Inc. Customer Quality Control Inspector in Aurora, Oregon

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • 40% - Performs preliminary, receiving, in-process, and final inspections on CHI external customer maintenance while following regulations set forth by the FAA, U.S. Military, and foreign military services.

  • 25% - Train and mentor shop operations personnel regarding policies and procedures required by the U.S. Military and FMS contracts. To include Critical Safety Items, frozen planning, and quality requirements specific to the individual customer. (Example US Navy 4790.2 and Army 738-751)

  • 20% - Maintains and updates customer required historical records specific to the customer’s quality requirements (TAMMS-A and CAMM2 systems.)

  • 15% - Assist with coordination of required Government Source Inspections and Product Verification Audits.

  • Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Cultivate a working knowledge of 14 CFR 65 certification, A & P license preferred.

  • CH-47 Platform experience or equivalent preferred.

  • Ability to travel internationally.

  • Ability to pass US Department of Defense screening process for military installation access.

  • Demonstrated technical competence in aerospace / aviation maintenance disciplines with 4+ years of military or civilian maintenance and quality process experience.

  • AS9100 Quality system standard or equivalent quality system experience.

  • Experience in various phases of aircraft maintenance.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, overhaul manuals, blueprints, etc.

  • Excellent poise and customer service interaction abilities when working with management, regulatory agencies and military personnel.

  • Ability to learn and navigate web-based information systems for Department of Defense contracts.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work individually and in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to be discrete when handling sensitive information.
