About the Role
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) is responsible in supporting the review and preparation of group financial results, annual business plan, quarterly forecast, and quarterly and annual reporting under the policies and guidelines established by Magna. The SFA ensures the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual close of multiple entities and ensures all deadlines are met.
Your Responsibilities
Coordinate, consolidate and review global quarterly forecasts and annual business plan as part of global group office team
Prepare financial slides for quarterly presentation to senior executives
Work closely with divisions to resolve forecasting or financial reporting issues
Involvement with preparation of monthly consolidated financial results and journal entries
Prepare month end reports for head office and group management review
Analyze financial results of each division in global group compared to forecast and business plan
Management of monthly capital spending analysis and reporting
Evaluation and assessment of identified divisional control and financial reporting deficiencies, assistance with development of correction actions and related remediation follow-up
Coordination and monitoring of quarterly SOX 302 certification process
Involvement with annual detailed accounting reviews of all operating divisions
Coordinate and prepare quarterly and annual information for external auditors
Administer financial analysis as requested by Group President, Vice Presidents or Director
Performs other duties and special projects as required
Who we are looking for
Accounting designation (CPA, CA preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of relevant experience; financial reporting experience at a large public company or public accountingfirm an asset
Advanced experience in Microsoft Office and other financial applications such as Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) an asset

No direct supervision of incumbents and/or work units/departments. Provides training, or instruction, to divisional Finance Managers/Controllers, as required.
