Job Title: Structural Designer

Job Description

This entry-level, engineering track position is responsible for applying academic engineering experiences to real-life problems, learning new design methodologies, and using in-house software. You will perform engineering design for components and connections, conduct 3D finite element analysis, and model structures under lead staff guidance. Additionally, you will prepare documents in CAD and BIM environments and manage staff as needed.

Hard Skills

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Aurora, Illinois and some days remote.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large production facility with attached office space. The company designs and produces large construction products for various projects. The Aurora office has 65 staff members, consisting of designers, drafters, modelers, and structural engineers. The role starts 100% in-office but allows for 2 remote days after manager approval. The company offers 3 weeks PTO and 8 holidays. Opportunities are due to growth in the data center sector.
