Cat Medium Wheel Loaders (MWL)are a driving force in enabling our customers to be successful in the building a better world and we have an excellent opportunity for you to join this critical team as a Senior Design Engineer – Electrical Systems! Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be focused on the design and development of electrical systems, ensuring MWL products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability.

Specifically, in this exciting career opportunity, you can expect to:

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of electrical design projects.

  • Contribute to the concept, development, and design of complex electrical components, subsystems, or processes.

  • Perform complex analysis work, identify and resolve design problems

  • Communicate technical information in a concise and accurate manner to key stakeholders.

To be successful you must bring (basic qualifications):

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering

  • At least 7 years’ experience in product design and development.

Top Candidates will also have (desired qualification):

  • Experience in high voltage battery electrical vehicle design (highly desired)

  • Experience with vehicle/machine electrical power distribution architecture (highly desired)

  • Experience in harness routing design

  • Experience in electrical schematic design

This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
