Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a talented Principal Software Engineer to join a talented team that develops enhancements and modifications to existing software systems. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge with software engineering object-oriented technologies. Responsibilities to Anticipate: · Troubleshoot system anomalies related to software, system configuration, network interfaces and operating system issues· Coordinate software installs/upgrades with adherence to Configuration Management (CM) procedures and policies· Software architecture design, development and testing· Develop /maintain system resources and documentation as required Basic Qualifications:

• Must have a current DODI 8570.1-M IAT Level II (Security+ ) (minimum) certification or attain Security + certification within 60 days of hire date

• Current TS/SCI with Ci Poly "Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

• Experience with Eclipse IDE

• Java experience within a UNIX/Linux environment

• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities

• Demonstrated problem solving skills

• Ability to perform all aspects of the software development lifecycle to include requirements definition

• Typically requires a BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and minimum of 8 years of object oriented software development OR possess the equivalent of 16 years direct experience in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with web-based development and/or web services (IE SOA)

• Experience with Agile Software methodology

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
