What You Will Do

You will be supporting a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a Network Administrator. Responsibilities include building, maintaining, and securing Information Technology systems and directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities. You will work closely with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes and implement solutions to system problems. Must be able to support occasional after hour maintenance and on-call support and must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations. Occasional travel may be required for installation support. This position is an onsite role.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND.

  • Experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco enterprise network equipment to include Cisco IOS routers and switches, Cisco IOS-XE, Cisco NX-OS switches, Nexus 5K and 7K, Cisco Catalyst 6500 both Hybrid and Native mode, Cisco and enterprise firewalls

  • Working understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite, (ARP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, IP) and experience with LAN routing (static, EIGRP, OSPF) and switching (PVST+, 802.1q trunking, VLAN)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Cisco CCNA certification

  • Experience with cloud computing/networking (AWS Networking)

  • Experience with Cisco IOS QOS, congestion avoidance and management

  • Experience with WAN technologies (Metro Ethernet, POS, DS-3, T-1, MPLS, BGP)

  • Experience with traffic isolation, and network virtualization technologies (ACL, VRF, DMVPN)

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
