Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide independent care of pediatric Neuro-Oncology patients on the inpatient hospital service
Provide independent care of pediatric Neuro-Oncology patients in the outpatient clinic and infusion center focused on Neuro-Oncology.
Communicate with referring physicians and other providers regarding shared patients on Neuro-Oncology service and within the institution
Lead Neuro-Oncology advance practice providers (APPs: physician's assistants and nurse practitioners) in the care of both inpatients and outpatients
Provide education and supervision to medical students, residents and fellows in the inpatient and outpatient settings
Provide coordination of care between the inpatient and outpatient settings
Participate in the treatment of patients on clinical research protocols in the field of pediatric hematology/oncology/BMT-CT

Minimum Qualifications:
Assistant Professor
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology after completion of an ACGME accredited pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship
Active Colorado state license and DEA certification.
If Board-eligible, must past American Board of Pediatrics sub-specialty exam in pediatric hematology/oncology within 36 months of hire date.
Associate Professor
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
Active Colorado state license and DEA certification.
Training and expertise in pediatric Neuro-Oncology and/or BMT-CT with a minimum of 6 years of clinical experience
Condition of Employment:
Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check
Active and continuous certification from the American Board of Pediatrics, sub-board of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology (once certified)
Meet all Children's Hospital Colorado credentialing requirements and continuous active medical staff status.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing patients on clinical research trials, including Good Clinical Practice, and Human Subjects Research compliance and training.
Completion of an organized Pediatric Neuro Oncology Fellowship.
5 or more years' work experience with appropriate, well-qualified academic experience.
Experience with managing long-term outcomes.
Current or evolving leadership roles at the national and international level in Neuro-Oncology treatment, research, and operations.
Evidence of successful clinical accomplishments appropriate to stage of career.
Experience as a principal investigator of early phase clinical trials and in clinical trial management.
Experience with engagement and operations of cooperative group and consortia clinical trial work
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to independently diagnose, treat, care for, and manage complex Pediatric Hematology/Oncology patients in a highly specialized, academic setting, including coordination of care with other hospital services, both in and outside the institution.
High professionalism skills

Ability to meet productivity targets are expected

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
Assistant Professor: $181,103 to $205,573
Associate Professor: $223,416 or $270,549
The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.

The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hematology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant-Cellular Therapeutics has an opening for a full-time Open Rank Assistant Professor or Associate Professor - Neuro Oncology position. This position will work with other attending physicians, physician-scientists, and scientists in Pediatric Neuro-Oncology. In this role, the provider will supervise advance practice providers, fellows, and residents in organizing each day's inpatient rounds, procedures, and family conferences, develop clinical/translational and basic science research projects that advance the academic, teaching, and clinical missions of the School of Medicine. This is primarily a clinically based faculty position, with dedicated time for clinical or translational research. Clinical work will include inpatient attending service coverage, shared holiday and weekend call with other faculty, and outpatient clinic responsibilities.
