Job Overview

The Nursing House Supervisor supervises activities to achieve the optimum level of health care to patient's and families. This position provides leadership and support to departmental staff through communication, coordinating and facilitating staffing needed to achieve the best possible care for patients.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor Science Nursing (BSN) degree required. Experience: Minimum 4 years of clinical experience required. Pediatric clinical skill/knowledge required. Required License/Certifications:ANCC or Magnet Approved Certification; specialty certification if appropriate. Required License/Certifications:BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR Required License/Certifications:PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required License/Certifications:Registered Nurse Required Membership: Membership in a professional nursing or health care organization.

Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. Lead daily meetings to communicate and facilitate patient progression. Oversee staffing decisions and communicate through rounding to determine staff needs for the best possible patient movement. Support Clinical Coordinator (CC) and Charge Nurse (CN) with staff assignments and prioritization y performing focused rounding frequently and by facilitating problem resolution. Collaborate and communicate all departments and patient portals to facilitate patient flow. Allocate float/flex staff to nursing areas with needs.
