Job Summary:
The Seniors Clinic behavioral health team aims to offer innovation and excellence in care. This position provides clinical consultation to support our inter-professional team in providing the best, most wholistic care. This position will provide integrated behavioral health care in geriatric primary care, working in collaboration with one additional geriatric psychologist. The position will conduct brief biopsychosocial assessment and will provide brief, evidenced-based, and solution-focused interventions to assist patients in optimizing physical and emotional health and managing a spectrum of chronic health conditions.
This is a 1.0 FTE (benefits-eligible) position with a weekly schedule of: four clinical care days (including a clinic day at the Lone Tree clinic and three clinic days at the Anschutz Medical Campus location) and one administration day (to be used for duties such as division and committee meetings, etc.). There is an opportunity for the selected candidate to work .75FTE, if part-time work is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care
Provides leadership and clinical consultation for behavioral health questions and presenting problems to geriatric medicine providers.
Uses an integrated model of care to briefly assess, diagnose, and treat behavioral, mental, and health conditions using solution-focused therapy.
Facilitates group visits when needed.
Designs, implements, and updates health promotion/disease prevention programming, clinical psychoeducation materials for patient care, and clinical referral networks.
Participates in, and/or takes a leadership role in relevant clinical or QI projects, such as for dementia family caregivers, deprescribing and insomnia, etc.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Master's degree in social work (or other relevant field) with 10+ years' experience in integrated behavioral health in primary care or behavioral medicine
Current and unrestricted Colorado state licensure as a psychologist, LCSW, or other relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have experience in primary care and expertise in evidence-based psychotherapies (e.g., MI, CBT, ACT, etc.).
Knowledge of common behavioral and mental health issues in the elderly is preferred.
Experience in geropsychology, geriatric mental health, and disorders common in older adults.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with integrated team-based care, particularly in a primary care setting.
Clinical skills conducting brief and targeted assessments to provide brief psychotherapy interventions, health and behavior change, substance use treatment, and triage for appropriate level of care.
Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based psychotherapies.
Ability to work well with diverse populations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Division of Geriatrics and clinic faculty and staff.
Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and maintain a well-organized work environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations.
Experience training and developing staff and skills in supervision of clinical staff and trainees.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:
$85,000-100,000 for a 1.0FTE position
The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
