We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for the daily HR operations for a designated group of departments. Provides employee relations support to both staff and management. Oversees the development and execution of HR programs including employee relations, recruitment, talent management, performance management, staffing, affirmative action, and legal compliance. Ensures all HR practices adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Employee Relations: Provides strategic guidance and support to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues. By thoroughly investigating concerns, applying sound judgment, and demonstrating a deep understanding of employment law, company policies, and Graebel's culture, this role fosters a positive and productive work environment. This will be accomplished through:

  • Counseling and Consultation: Offering expert advice to management and employees on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and investigations.

  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Problem Resolution: Effectively resolving employee complaints and concerns through timely and appropriate actions, while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.

  • Relationship Building: Developing strong partnerships with business units to proactively identify and address potential employee relations issues.

  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional support to internal clients by responding promptly to inquiries and delivering high-quality service.

  • Success in this role is measured by employee satisfaction, reduced turnover, minimal litigation risk, and strong collaborative relationships with management.

  • Develops and implements strategies to foster a high-performance culture aligned with company values and goals. This role is responsible for enhancing employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention through innovative programs and initiatives. This will be accomplished through:

  • Strategic Planning: Conduct in-depth analysis of employee engagement trends and best practices to develop and execute comprehensive engagement strategies.

  • Leadership Development: Equip managers and supervisors with the tools and knowledge to create engaging work environments and build high-performing teams.

  • Program Development and Execution: Design, implement, and manage employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and team-building activities to boost morale and motivation.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Track employee engagement metrics, analyze data to identify trends, and provide actionable insights to inform decision-making.

  • Culture Building: Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee well-being and job satisfaction.

  • Success in this role is measured by increased employee engagement scores, improved employee retention, and positive employee feedback.

  • Actively participates in the execution of basic HR functions that exist within the life cycle of an employee, including job postings, offer letters, promotion memos, employee file maintenance, job descriptions, performance reviews, performance management, compensation administration (merits, incentives) and exit interviews. Maintain records of transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting. Assists Human Resources team on major initiatives/projects.

  • Actively assists with investigating both formal and informal complaints of discrimination, disparate treatment, and harassment, and recommends appropriate action for resolution of problems. Investigations are thorough, asking relevant questions of the appropriate people. Documentation is timely, accurate, and meets legal requirements.

  • Ensures compliance and knowledge sharing. Maintains a deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies. Provides expert guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters. Collaborates with business units to deliver informative training sessions and updates on employment law trends, best practices, and policy changes.

  • Recruit, interview, select, and onboard employees to fill vacant positions. Develop or assist in the development of recruitment strategies and materials. Develop new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

  • Performs other related essential duties as assigned or requested.

Required Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related field.

  • Minimum three (3) years of professional human resources experience acceptable in lieu of formal education.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Three-Five (3-5) years prior professional human resources experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in both written and oral local language as required.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents, professional journals and governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write complex reports, detailed business correspondence, policies and procedures.

  • Ability to give effective presentations to management and large groups.
