Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain HR analytics and workforce planning tools to assess and improve the efficiency of HR processes.
Analyze HR data and create HR dashboards, including recruitment, retention, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) metrics, employee performance, compensation, and other workforce trends.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on workforce data to inform strategic decision-making.
Lead regular reporting on key HR metrics and performance indicators, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery of insights.
Partner with HR leadership, the Campus Strategy Office, and cross-campus department heads to translate workforce data into actionable recommendations, while fostering effective communication with peers and clients to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
Manage and mentor one direct report, ensuring effective performance to achieve goals, and supporting their professional growth and development in workforce analytics.
Maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in HR analytics and data governance, including tools and technologies, and how to translate that knowledge into existing HR operations.
Assist in the development and implementation of programs aimed at improving workforce engagement and performance, and HR operational process efficiency.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional reporting requirements related to workforce data.
Support various HR projects as needed, contributing to the advancement of the HR department's goals and objectives while adhering to HR department values.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in HR analytics, workforce planning, or related fields, preferably in a higher education or healthcare setting.
Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and analytics tools and software (e.g., PeopleSoft v9.2 or similarly complex HRIS tool, Oracle SQL Server, Power BI, Tableau, Qualtrics, Smartsheet, or similar platforms, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
Proven experience managing and interpreting data related to recruitment, retention, compensation, employee engagement, and performance.
Experience in developing and presenting data-driven reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Human Resources, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience working in a public higher education environment, especially in a medical campus or research-focused institution.
Advanced knowledge of HR information systems (HRIS), including PeopleSoft v9.2, Oracle SQL Server, Taleo ATS, Precipio LMS, or other similar platforms.
Familiarity with institutional compliance requirements, including those specific to higher education, healthcare, and research.
Certification in HR analytics (e.g., HCI HR Analytics Certification) or other relevant certifications.
Experience in managing or mentoring team members.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present data visualizations and insights in a clear and actionable manner.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
Knowledge of predictive analytics, machine learning, or other advanced data science techniques to forecast workforce trends.

This position will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and oversee one direct report. As part of a dynamic and innovative central HR team at a public higher education medical campus with Tier One Research status, this role will contribute to shaping the workforce strategies in alignment with the institution's academic, research, and healthcare missions. The position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
