Job Summary:
Clinical service in the field of FPRS, with the primary location for this position being the University of Colorado Hospital at Anschutz Medical Campus as well as surrounding network of care sites.
Development of a clinical program in an area of growth at the University of Colorado, specifically in facial nerve reanimation, transgender surgery, cosmetic procedures, and/or clinical research.
Teaching and mentoring of fellows, residents, medical students, and other related trainees.
Faculty expectation for regular academic/scholarship/research activities toward academic promotion

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Assistant Professor:
Doctor of Medicine degree
Board Certified or Board Qualified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
If Board Qualified, must receive Board Certification within 2 years of hire.
Fellowship trained in FPRS
Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
Associate Professor:
Doctor of Medicine degree
Board Certified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery
Fellowship trained in FPRS
4+ years of experience at rank or equivalent experience
Ability to obtain a Colorado medical license
Professor:
Doctor of Medicine degree
Board Certified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery

7+ years of experience at rank or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience or special interest in developing clinical programs along growth areas for the University of Colorado, including facial nerve reanimation, transgender surgery, cosmetic procedures, and/or clinical research
Demonstrated commitment to developing a cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary FPRS practice
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt easily to change
Great attention to detail and quality
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other faculty and staff at all levels throughout the institution

The Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine's mission is to provide outstanding, cutting-edge clinical care, research, and state-of-the-art training. The Department is seeking a board-eligible or board-qualified otolaryngologist with subspecialty training in Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery (FPRS) to join the full-time faculty. Particular consideration will be given to candidates with experience/interest in facial nerve reanimation, transgender surgery, cosmetic procedures, and/or clinical research.
