Care And Community Direct Support Professional in Aurora, Colorado

Duties and Responsibilities Commitment to our goals, objectives, policies, and procedures Implement instructional/behavioral programs outlined in service plans Assist participants to access community sites and activities Work cooperatively with other staff, families/care givers, and case managers to meet the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of each person Provide transportation to and from homes or pick up points in company vehicle Facilitate and over-see groups of 2-6 or individuals engaging in scheduled daily activities Ensure safety of persons at all times following procedures outlined and training protocols Complete all required documentation daily and complete all required training

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum: Energetic, caring and open to learning Preferred: 2 years of experience working with individuals with IDD Age: must be at least 18 years of age with no felony convictions Team player who can work either independently or in a team situation Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow thru on details, complete obligations Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt easily and quickly to changes due to behavioral or situational disruptions Ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. or more, assist with adult toileting and personal care needs Ability to assist participants in and out of vehicles including wheelchairs, kneel, sit on floor, walk or stand for extended periods of time Valid Colorado driver's license and good driving record (required) Experience driving a passenger van (preferred) Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate requirements, including overtime or irregular schedules

Education Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent Preferred: College experience

Work Schedule 8:00 am. - 4 p.m. Mon-Fri 40 hours per week Overtime: occasional

Pay $19 per hour Training Bonus: After 90-Days and successfully completing all trainings
