ASRC Federal Holding Company Configuration Manager in Aurora, Colorado
ASRC Federal is seeking a Configuration Manager to support an upcoming DHA contract. This work will be located onsite in Aurora, Colorado .
This position is contingent based on the successful award of contract to ASRC Federal.
Responsibilities:
This position will manage and oversee all operations of the Aurora location as site lead
Identifying and managing all configuration items through the development life-cycle.
Utilize experience managing multiple parallel releases where branching and merging configurable items is required using expert knowledge of CM Tools such as IBM Rational ClearCase, Serena PVCS, Subversion, etc.
Develop a Configuration Management Plan and apply CM standards. Communicate these standards and provide information about unsuccessful builds and test results to the Development Teams.
Develop and implement source code configuration strategy and policy. Branch and merge source code; establish procedures to effectively manage the functions of change control; and configure and maintain software baseline library using Serena PVCS.
Support development and maintenance of Configuration Management Reports to document changes and updates to development, test, and production environments for each build, sprint, and release in the iterative development lifecycle.
Provide configuration management (CM) services in support of development teams that follow the structured software methodology. Provide CM services that support streamlined processes to include automation in support of the iterative methodology, including:
Source control;
Build automation;
Migration and deployment automation;
Test automation;
Continuous integration; and
Merge resolution
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree – Computer Science degree preferred
At least 7 years’ experience supporting as a Configuration Manager
Candidates without a college degree will be considered, but must have at least 10 years of relevant configuration management experience
Demonstrated hands-on experience in Software Configuration and change management processes and implementation across different environments (Dev, Test, Prod)
Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining branches for multiple release management, for code merging, check-in, check-out, versioning, and administration
Strong communication skills and able to work across organizations
Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
Candidates will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
Prior government contracting experience is highly desired
Software development experience
Agile/Scrum experience
