Job Overview
The Clinical Specialty Coordinator is a Registered Nurse (RN) who coordinates and oversees a program specific in a defined specialty population. The Clinical Specialty Coordinator works across the continuum to develop, implement, and support quality improvement efforts that improve outcomes for the specialty practice.Areas of focus include program development, standardization of practice and documentation, communication, sharing of information, hand-offs, transitions, advocacy, patient and family guidance, education, resources, and specialty specific expertise. The Clinical Specialty Coordinator provides guidance and support to staff in the management, provision and coordination of care in their area of expertise.

Department Name: Orthopedic Clinic Job Status: Full-time Shift: Four 10 hour days, day off rotates based on clinical need. Some travel expected around the Denver Metro area.
Qualifications
Education:Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Experience:Four years of nursing Certification(s): BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire. Achievement and maintenance of certification in one of the two categories: Certified Case Manager (CCM) through the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), Accredited Case Manager (ACM) through the American Case Management Association (ACMA) or certification in Care Coordination and Transition Management (CCCTM) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). A plan to obtain certification will need to be in place with the team member's direct leader within 6 months of hire with the expectation that the certification exam will be taken once all accrediting body eligibility requirements are met. ANCC or Magnet approved clinical specialty certification inclusive of care coordination activities as approved by the Director of Patient Care Services.
