Job Overview
The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist ensures safe, appropriate, and economical use of drugs through the application of specialized skills and knowledge in pediatric patient care. The Department of Pharmacy provides comprehensive clinical services to patients at Children's Hospital Colorado. The clinical pharmacy services complement the team approach to providing careto the most fragile of patients. This ambulatory clinical specialist will help ensure the safe and effective use of medication and optimization of outpatient regimens for our patients. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining pharmacy ambulatory care services based in our Denver Metro Network of Care. This pharmacist will be empowered to create partnerships with physicians to bill for services and work collaboratively with providers across our Network of Care
Additional Information
Department: Network of Care Pharmacy Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits. Shift: Day, Monday-Friday. This role also requires every 4th weekend and rotating holidays. Shifts on weekends and holidays will rotate between days and evenings. Additionally, this is a float position, and this team member will be expected to support our campuses at North, South, Southeast Aurora and Wheat Ridge, which will be a mix of in person and remote shifts.
Qualifications
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree. Experience: Two (2) years of residency experience or one (1) year of residency plus three (3) years of work experience. Equivalency: Three (3) years of pharmacy work experience in area of specialty accepted in lieu of 2nd year of residency. Certification(s): BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute accepted). Licensure(s): State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Pharmacy license.
