Assistant Professor

  • MD/DO or equivalent

  • Colorado Medical License by the time of hire.

  • ABR Certification or eligible.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Interpretation of Pediatric Neuroimaging studies

  • Interpretation of Pediatric Radiology studies and competency for procedures (if candidate has completed a general Pediatric Radiology fellowship)

  • The rank is dependent on a combination of academic accomplishments, career pathway, as well as input from the department's Promotion and Tenure committee.

Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) is offering a unique opportunity for a Fellowship-trained Pediatric Neuroradiologist to join our 35-member Pediatric Radiology team in providing coverage across our 600-bed CHCO system, which includes the main Anschutz Campus, the Colorado Springs hospital, and several satellite locations. Our main CHCO Anschutz Campus is located along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. The applicant will join a team of eight pediatric neuroradiologists in reading only pediatric neuroimaging studies, with the choice of working remotely or at the main campus. The required clinical responsibilities include the oversight and interpretation of pediatric CT and MRI neuroimaging, Fetal MR neuroimaging, and neuro-related Nuclear Medicine studies. Participation in numerous weekly educational and multidisciplinary clinical conferences is also necessary but facilitated largely using virtual meeting platforms. CHCO is affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, offering multiple opportunities to engage in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. Academic or Clinical tracks are available to all CHCO Radiologists The successful recruit will be required to participate in our clinical practice and to excel in one or more of our other primary missions, including education, research, and service. The position is for 100% pediatric neuroimaging, including but not limited to interpreting neuro CT, MRI and PET. We work closely with a variety of nationally recognized clinical partners, including neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, fetal care, child protection team, ENT, ID, and genetics/metabolics. Active participation in fellow, resident and medical student education is expected. Participation in research is encouraged.

Work location will be determined during the interview process based on the candidate's needs. - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule with the ability to read from home and from the hospital as the section clinical schedule allows. – this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States.
