Robert Half Security Network Engineer in Augusta, Maine

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Security Network Engineer to join our team in Augusta, Maine. This role is focused on leading the development of security architecture, particularly with a focus on application security, within the Information Technology industry. The successful candidate will be instrumental in strategizing, implementing, and testing security controls and procedures to maintain and enhance our security posture.

Responsibilities:

• Define information security strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals.

• Develop and implement security policies and standards in alignment with industry best practices and emerging security technologies.

• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams and vendors, to integrate security measures into all technology solutions.

• Provide technical guidance on security-related issues, primarily in the application space.

• Work closely with customer stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks and deliver strategic, innovative security offerings.

• Stay abreast of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, recommending solutions to mitigate risks.

• Engage in solutioning sessions designed to quickly produce secure and viable solutions to critical business use-cases.

• Apply expertise in application security and the assessment of System Security Plans to develop information security position reports.

• Coordinate with other subject matter experts to develop a concise position on IT products and services from an information security perspective.

• Document procedures and diagrams related to security architecture. Requirements • Proven experience as a Security Network Engineer for a minimum of five years

• Knowledge and understanding of Security Architecture

• Proficiency in Application Security

• Expertise in System Security

• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 standards

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity

• Relevant professional certification is an advantage

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
