Statement of Job:

The University of Maine at Augusta is seeking applicants for a full-time Coordinator of Internships and Experiential Learning. This is a fixed-length, grant-funded position through June 30, 2025. Continuation of the position will depend on funding and the needs of the university. The Coordinator of Internships and Experiential Learning will serve as a resource for students, faculty, and employers by preparing students for internships, assisting employers with internship development, and managing the experiential learning platform. They will cultivate relationships with employers in Maine and beyond to increase the number of quality internship and experiential learning opportunities for University of Maine System (UMS) students, as well as foster tangible, substantial, and achievable learning outcomes and networking opportunities. Salary: The hiring salary range for this position is in the mid to high 40s and commensurate with training, education, and experience and will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion. Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to utilize technology, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and other related platforms

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents, both internal and external

  • Knowledge and use of career information and assessment

  • Skilled in the use of technology including social media and career management systems

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of experience, training, and or education

  • At least one year of experience with academic advising, internships, or related work

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working with external constituents, such as businesses and other organizations

  • Experience providing career counseling/coaching and career services at the college level
