MaineDOT has many legacy applications, and we are working to re-architect them into a more modern, sustainable platform. These applications are essential to the day-to-day operations of the department. Many of these systems were built over 20 years ago and need to be updated.

location: Augusta, Maine

job type: Contract

salary: $67 - 72 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:

  • This Project tracking system is the first modernization effort and when successful we will move on to others.

  • MaineDOT is looking for an architect to assist us with analysis of an existing system (homegrown Project tracking system) which is written in (ASP.NET/C#, WCF/Oracle) and provide recommendations to improve maintainability, scalability and performance.

  • This resource will also lead development effort to execute the recommendations while also providing enhancements/bug fixes to the existing production system.

Top 3 Skills:

  • .NET C#, VB.NET ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC

  • SQL, XML/SOAP

  • Angular, JQuery, CSS.

  • Experience level: Experienced
