Job Title: Analyst - Pricing & Analysis

Reports to: Manager - Pricing & Analysis

Hybrid in Augusta, ME

Salary Range: \$64,000- \$80,000

Purpose

This position will employ various financial and customer service systems to collect and analyze data for use in major Company initiatives. The position will work closely with persons in Regulatory Services, Accounting, Marketing, and Supplier Services. This position requires initiative, a results orientation, and consistency in meeting customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and format customer billing unit data for use in rate design, forecasting, targeted contract and program administration, regulatory proceedings, and miscellaneous analyses
  • Provide as-needed month-end accounting and marketing support
  • Manages and maintains large quantities of data used in rate design and analysis
  • Prepare data for and submit reports in accordance with MPUC filing dates and requirements
  • Provide analytical support to Lead Analysts as necessary

Skills and Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Related Field required
  • 1 year of analytical work experience required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Quick grasp and application of SAP
  • Well-developed data gathering, analytical and problem-solving skills - Required.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Good organization and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of CMP\'s rates - preferred

Note: Candidates will be asked to provide two samples of their work: 1) Data analysis, and 2) A short description of the analysis, how it was conducted, and the conclusion.

A credit check will be administered when a prospective employee will be working in Finance, Accounting, Treasury or where duties may involve handling of funds, accounts or cash.
