Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for the role of Sr. Accountant in Augusta, Georgia, 30901, United States. In this role, you will be expected to play a key role in our financial team, working within an industry that requires a high level of accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Review and process journal entries and ensure accurate performance of duties.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial reports and statements.

• Perform month-end close processes, adhering to deadlines and ensuring the accuracy of entries.

• Contribute to financial planning and analysis (FP& A) activities, offering insights for decision-making.

• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing accurate projections for the company.

• Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) software for various accounting functions.

• Work collaboratively with the team to perform all tasks accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven experience as a Sr. Accountant or similar role

• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience with General Ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, specifically Great Plains (GPAC)

• Advanced knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Account Reconciliation

• Solid experience in Journal Entries

• Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) and Budgeting - Forecasting

• Certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus

• Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
