FLP Group Feeder Tender Operator in Auburn, New York
Looking for an experienced second pressman to assist in the operation of our 28 x 40 , 5 color Komori Lithrone 540 offset printing press. Responsible for working in a two man crew to produce offset printing projects in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. The second pressman will coordinate workload schedule to meet customer timeframe requirements while achieving optimum productivity. The second pressman will assist in performing daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output while working closely with other team members to exceed customer expectations. As a second pressman and a member of the Production Team, you are accountable for meeting the department production and quality goals. As a second pressman your main duty is to load paper into the press feeder. When possible you will assist 1st pressman by hanging plates, washing blankets and back cylinders, chasing hickeys, checking and cleaning ink fountains, checking and filling water tank, and filling powder. Secondary duties will be to operate bindery equipment as needed. Qualifications High school or GED equivalent. Vocational/technical degree in graphic arts is desired. Five years of recent 4 color process / press experience. Requires good mathematical skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Rudimentary Computer skills. Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance. Thorough knowledge of problem solving on press. Good understanding of prepress functions.
