Dow Silicones Corporation Senior Research Specialist in Auburn, Michigan
Dow Silicones Corporation. Collaborates closely with R&D in the development of new products/applications to solve market-based needs. This includes application testing in lab environment, leading safety reviews, etc. Based on unmet needs, may lead product commercialization projects. Work closely with Marketing to support new product market launch including generating application data, creating collateral such as presentations and technical data sheets, and coordinating market sampling. Uses broad market, customer, and application knowledge and in-depth understanding of competitive technologies to solve complex technical issues. Works collaboratively with global segment teams. Convinces others about differentiated technical solutions to maximize value effectively- understands how business value is created for Dow and the customer. Monitors the competition and market trends relative to Dow intellectual property positions and integrates the information into group activities and projects. Maintains an ability and willingness to travel. Drives the Dow safety culture to ensure safe and effective operations. PhD in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or related required. Travel up to 10% of the time, mostly domestic.
