Summary:
Parkview Dekalb is looking for an experienced Licensed Addictions Counselor for our new Intensive Outpatient Treatment option for patients in Dekalb County.
We are looking for applicants who are driven and motivated to provide patients with the tools they need to be successful in recovery. Applicants will need the ability to build strong working relationships with patients and those in the community who also provide resources to our patients.

This is a full-time position where you would work primarily at Parkview Dekalb Hospital performing intake assessments, leading group therapy sessions, and documenting treatment plans. You would also spend time out in the community of Dekalb County getting to know those who refer patients or other who provide resources available for our patients.
Education:
Must have a Master's degree in psychology, addictions, social work, or other counseling related field. Licensed as either a LCSW, LMHC, LMFT.
Licensure/Certification:
CPI required within 60 days of employment. CPR required within 30 days of employment. Must have one of these addiction credentials: LCAC, LAC, APIT, ICACI, ICACII, DADAC II, CADAC III, CADAC IV, CADAC V, NCAC I, NCAC II, MAC (Master Addiction Counselor). Licensure and certifications must be kept current.
Experience:
2 years in the health care, substance use disorder or social service field, psychiatric hospital experience preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Must be available to work flexible hours and days of the week including weekends and evenings. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds; 100 pounds shared lifting.
