Gkn Driveline North America, Inc System Test Manager in Auburn Hills, Michigan
Responsible to support and lead system test procedures and/or projects for multiple programs. Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing all testing activities for a given program(s) with management guidance. Develop Test Plans and execute to test internal and external customer software releases. Create Test Objectives which align with the test plan. Determine required deliverables from all test sections. Lead project test teams in determining tests, objectives and deliverables required for verification of the software. Represent the test group to project management, software team and other internal customers. Ensure that all test sections are successfully executed and highlight any risk to the program team. Track progress and effectiveness of the test effort and report to the program team. Advocate the appropriate level of quality and resolution of important defects to the program team. Develop/support test and process automation. Create and communicate metrics and test reports to the program team and management. Manage global test team support for program(s). Communicate with Customer validation SME to ensure that GKN is using latest tool/technique as per Customer expectations. Ensure traceability of the test artifacts to requirements. Study and analyze engineering cost request studies for new and existing programs. Perform capacity analysis to identify capital requirements to meet budgeted and 5-year demand for customers.
