Samsung SDIA Production Specialist in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Responsible for supporting team leaders to ensure daily and long-term production goals are met and/or exceeded. Work with Engineering, Logistics, Maintenance and Quality Supervisors to maximize production scheduling, resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information/data. Design and evaluate the operation of mechanicals of the assembly line system to ensure meeting requirements. Coordinate Production activities with Preventive Maintenance plans, working with Maintenance personnel to assure gaps are scheduled to perform required and preventive maintenance activities with limited disruption to production. Help create an environment of daily accountability in the workforce to meet daily Safety, Quality and Production requirements. Create Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and monitor through the use of Layered Process Audits (LPA'): Health and Safety, Quality, Ergonomics, and Delivery. Take a lead role in daily production meetings, including: Address and manage challenges as required in a cross-functional team environment and escalate issues as required/needed. Assist with the creation and implementation of a training plan for the hourly workforce that: Enables workers to be proficient in multiple positions on the assembly line and create job rotation for multiple positions on the assembly line. Apply lessons learned in support of new launches and start-ups on manufacture assembly line. Oversee in-process buffer levels to accommodate overall production goals during assigned shift. Follow safe work procedures established by the Company, and follow the OH&S directions of the head of the Production Department. Assist with the preparation of risk assessments. Report OH&S problems and workplace hazards to upper management as soon as possible after they discovered/occur. Complete monthly H&S inspections.
