As Process Engineer Paint Sealer Applications, you will provide robot process support along with direction to the organization through process planning, design, support, and execution in Robotics and Discrete Automation in Auburn Hills, Michigan. You will successfully participate in multiple application projects as a robotics technician. The primary focus for this role involves startup, programming, and debugging of robotic automation. This position reports to Engineering Manager IYour responsibilities

Support installations of Robotic Automated Systems and perform startup, Debug and Production support involving robots and electromechanical systems. Create RobotStudio simulations to support PPA(Process Portal A). Support implementation of offline programs at mod build and customer site and present product features and benefits to customers. Perform customer demos in the process validation lab. Manage technical solutions to minimize costs while maintaining reliability. Provide industry specific application knowledge and direction. Review requirement and design specifications. Maintain customer specifications and logging of deviations. Provide support for product development. Develop tools and integration strategies to increase effectiveness and lower cost. Investigate and suggest process and technology enhancements.Your background

Associate's degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field preferred. 1 year minimum experience in related field. Robotic Programming Dispense Application Specific. Advanced training, knowledge, and awareness in Automated Systems and Robot Applications including: Dispense Process (Paint/Dispense Applicator path programming knowledge), Fluid control systems for Paint/Dispense (Servo pump systems, temperature control systems), Robview 5, ABB Robot Dispenseware, Robot Studio. Functional knowledge of Robotics and/or Automation: Robot path programming Paint/Dispense specific. Robot fault recovery, Robot interface and control, Functional experience working with engineering design projects and machine startup. Functional Robot Electrical Maintenance Skills & Robot Programming Skills. Familiar in the application and debug of control components: PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller), HMI's(Human Machine Interface), Safety Controllers, Field BUS I/O.
