Your tasks
TUV SUD, a global leader in electrical product safety certification, transportation products testing, environmental testing, energy efficiency, EMC testing, regulatory affairs and international compliance and has an immediate opening at our facility in Auburn Hills, MI. This is a Lab Equipment Maintenance Technician position, reporting to the local Team Leader. The Technician will conduct equipment maintenance and repairs as needed. This equipment includes but is not limited to: Thermal test chambers, cooling towers, high voltage battery cyclers, vibration tables, and other various test chamber types. This position will work directly with our team of Program managers, test engineers, and test technicians to support the operation. This position will maintain confidentiality of customers, products tested and internal proprietary information. Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate the maintenance and repair schedules of all test equipment. Perform the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair duties for test lab equipment. Order parts needed to maintain/repair equipment. Ensure project timelines are adhered to, by completing work within the time allocated. Operate and troubleshoot test equipment including customized equipment and software. Validate equipment calibrations are in accordance with their applicable schedules, ranges and in calibration for the entire period used for testing. Report all equipment and test sample damage to supervisor immediately. Complete timesheets, daily. Adhere to all TUV SUD policies and procedures. Other Responsibilities: Maintain a clean and orderly workplace and parts storage. Ensure consumable materials comply with applicable requirements. Work with onsite contractors and facilities management team as needed. Maintain a mobile equipment license (fork truck, scissor lift, etc.) Must be able to safely work at height, climb ladders, and lift 50 lbs. Perform Proficiency Testing. All employees are expected to work in a manner that supports a safe and healthy work environment for themselves and others. This includes following established rules, policies, and practices of environmental, health and safety in the workplace. Your qualifications
Position Requirements: 10+ Years commercial HVAC-R experience preferred. Certification cards for High, medium, low refrigerants. Experience with Watlow Controls. Cascade refrigeration experience. Experience working with 240V 3-phase and 480V 3-phase wiring. Reading basic circuitry and wiring diagrams Ability to apply and understand basic electrical and/or mechanical concepts.
