Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to support our warehouse operations. As a leading manufacturer of professional car washing systems, we require candidates who can efficiently handle freight, collaborate with truck drivers, and perform data entry tasks. This role involves both material handling and product assembly, ensuring smooth and accurate operations within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off of trucks, primarily open flatbed trucks.

• Collaborate with truck drivers to ensure products are secured or removed correctly.

• Enter data and orders into the computer after unloading equipment.

• Perform final touch-ups to freight and orders being sent out.

• Handle material and assist the warehouse, including operating a forklift.

• Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping as needed.

• Load material onto truck trailers, ensuring optimal delivery sequence.

• Verify material to confirm correct items are placed on trucks.

• Stage loads for full truck and LTL shipments.

• Close production work orders when needed.

• Perform assembly work as required.

• Pick parts and products for the truck.

• Collect and organize items ordered by customers and prepare them for shipment.

• Operate equipment to collect, deliver, and package goods.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of sit-down forklift experience.

• Mechanically inclined.

• Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Steel toe boots.

Work Environment

The candidates will work within the warehouse and the dock for the majority of the time. The environment is not temperature controlled, but the bay doors are kept open when it is warm. There is an air-conditioned cafeteria available. The manufacturing floor is separated by departments, and overall, the warehouse is relatively clean. Candidates may get dirty throughout the day but are expected to maintain a clean workstation. The first shift runs from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with opportunities for early starts or voluntary weekend overtime.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
