Commercial Real Estate Property Manager The Commercial Real Estate Appraisal Manager (Chief Appraiser) position will oversee and manage the commercial real estate appraisal and review process at Comerica Bank. This position will lead, motivate, and train the team of internal appraisal staff who secure, perform and review appraisals for the Bank. Position Responsibilities: To ensure Comerica Bank's commercial real estate collateral appraisal process meets Regulatory compliance (FIRREA, IAEG, and USPAP) and provides credible assignment results for use in the underwriting function of the Bank. Responsible for managing and supporting all commercial real estate appraisal activity within the bank. Comerica's geographic footprint encompasses all 50 states and including Canada and Mexico where appraisals may be ordered for review. Ultimately responsible for Comerica's appraisal process of reviewing and approving, rejecting, or modifying commercial real estate appraisals ordered and/or submitted to the bank whereby the values will be used to establish the collateral value for a loan or investment; these reports and values must meet regulatory scrutiny and required regulatory standards. Review appraisal staff work product for quality and either specific, or group training opportunities for improvement. Interpreting and resolving technical questions and valuation issues; through collaboration with the appraisal staff, independent fee appraisers, other real estate professionals, and governmental regulators. Support loan syndications where appropriate levels of review of all appraisal reports must be conducted, and cooperation may be required with participating banks to ensure that appraisals are credible for the underwriting function. Support the lending efforts of such diverse lending groups as Commercial Real Estate, Middle Market Banking, Wealth and Institutional Management, Small Business Banking, Small Business Administration, Private Banking, and the Special Assets Group, as well as others. Working with Corporate Legal to properly interpret regulatory policies and procedures. Monitoring the legacy Appraisal Services Database (ASD) and the production database in Pega. Representing the Bank at appraisal functions.

Position Qualifications: Bachelor Degree from an accredited university 10 years experience in Real estate appraisal Experience in Field Appraisal Management experience Licenses/Certifications MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute
