About the Role:

  • Lead/facilitate the senior leadership team in their implementation of the Manufacturing Excellence (ManEx) change journey, facilitating improvement in performance, standards and capability through the Manufacturing Excellence change journey. Manage Process Capability and Training & Development Teams delivery of ManEx training.

  • Use and analyse data effectively to define and deliver improvement opportunities across the site

  • Provide Manufacturing Excellence subject matter expertise, offering strategic mentorship at all Tiers and contributing to the Diageo Goal Alignment and Prioritization change programme

  • Lead Site management to ensure consistency of approach and alignment of Diageo strategy with Site

  • Lead and advocate good governance around internal and external compliance (health & safety, quality and environment)

  • Builds a strong working relationship with Site Operation Managers, Asset Care and Engineering Manager supporting them for delivering Operations Objectives demonstrated on ManEx practices and standards.

  • Delivery of outstanding performance in all aspects of the balanced scorecard (Safety, Quality, Environment, Asset Care, Delivery, Efficiency, Cost and Morale)

Experience required/Skills/Capabilities/Languages:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent ideally in an engineering or science-related subject area. Formal Six sigma qualification a must.

  • NEBOSH qualification (nice to have)

  • Relevant IBD qualification (General Certificate in Spirits/Beer Packaging) or willing to complete within 12 months.

  • +6 years leadership experience and a great track record in a FMCG manufacturing environment.

  • Proactive structured problem evaluation & solving skills learnt through exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, TPM or Manufacturing Excellence.

  • Strong understanding of packaging, processing & plant technologies. Champion of manufacturing excellence leadership, management, tools & techniques

  • Ability to build a climate within large multi-disciplined teams by effectively setting performance standards and coaching and developing others to achieve them.

  • Record as a great coach with strong engagement and communication skills.

  • Sound and validated financial skill.

  • Proficient in use of standard business and Diageo packages (SAP nice-to-have).

  • English and Spanish sophisticated skills.

Excellence in Supply Chain :

Experienced of working within the Performance Management structure of important metrics and Tier Review Meeting Structure.

Record in adherence to Core Process and Standards.

Demonstrates role model behaviour and mentors others to follow a consistent approach and go beyond mandatory minimum requirements.

Proactively leverages the learning curriculums and materials on Tequila Academy and other sources to continuously grow and develop in role.

A very deep knowledge of Operational Excellence Methodology.
