Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Atlanta, Georgia

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance in Atlanta, Georgia. The role primarily involves directing financial operations and overseeing the consolidation of financial data, as well as leading departmental staff. The individual will be working within a dynamic environment, focusing on client services and ensuring the financial stability of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of the finance department including accounts payable, billings, collections, and payroll.

• Manage the month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, along with account reconciliations and G/L analysis.

• Prepare and present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners.

• Lead the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis.

• Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure timely cash collection.

• Evaluate accounting and internal control systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

• Maintain a positive professional attitude, exhibiting integrity, reliability, and leadership.

• Handle both high-level and day-to-day functions, working directly with the accounting/administration team, executive leaders and operations.

• Utilize various Accounting Software Systems and tools such as QuickBooks Pro and Microsoft Excel in daily operations.

• Take charge of the annual budget and auditing processes, and manage the Accounting Functions efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Strong understanding and application of Accounting Functions

• Ability to handle and prepare the Annual Budget

• Experience in Auditing

• Knowledge of Budget Processes

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Capable of strategic planning, risk management, and change management

• Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives, stakeholders, and partners

• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting

• Ability to analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, a Master's degree is preferred

• Professional certification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
