Position Purpose

Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our compassionate team. Under the direction of a radiologist and clinic management, you will perform high-quality sonography exams to assist in diagnosing diseases and evaluating organ function. This role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This position will work 2 days a week (8 hours per day).

What You Will Do

  • Conduct two-dimensional ultrasound exams, including abdominal, gynecological, vascular, and musculoskeletal imaging.

  • Operate a Philips Affiniti 70G ultrasound machine with precision and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with off-site radiologists to discuss test results.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with imaging service protocols.

  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to all radiation and ultrasound safety regulations.

  • Assist with additional clinic duties as needed, supporting the overall mission of Mercy Care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an RDMS-approved ultrasound program.

  • Certification: RDMS registered in at least one category or registry-eligible (must obtain registry within one year of employment).

  • Experience: Two years of experience in an acute care setting preferred.

  • Skills: Strong customer service focus, ability to work well in a team, and competency in patient care for adult and geriatric populations.
