Abt Associates Temporary Global Business and Operations Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Summary

Abt Associates seeks a Temporary Global Business and Operations Analyst to support and contribute to business process development, documentation, and improvement in business process design, management framework, and other areas as needed. This contract role is set to last approximately 6 months and is open to remote candidates.

Responsibilities

Business Process Design / Process Improvement

  • Business process and procedure development, process modeling, documentation, and implementation of new and improved processes by working with department subject matter experts (SMEs)

  • Facilitate process improvement initiatives by working with Business Process Owners, SMEs, and department/division staff

  • Identify and support programs, initiatives, and methods for continuous business process improvement

Business Process Management Framework

  • Support rollout and use of a standardized Business Process Management Framework by process teams

  • Deliver training on Business Process Management framework and design/development of procedures and other documentation

Process Asset Library

  • Development and rollout of the International Operations Program - Process Asset Library, with a particular focus on building and managing the repository process assets

  • Support change management and communications needs and activities for rollout of the Process Asset Library

  • Support other projects and company initiatives as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience as a business analyst, project operations analyst or similar position requiring business process design, implementation, and improvement

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge, experience, and aptitude in business process improvement and management systems

  • Experience with business processes across multiple corporate functions (human resources, finance, procurement, information technology, etc.)

  • Experience distilling problem definitions, models, and constraints from informal business requirements

  • Experience drafting communication and training materials for the adoption of new business processes

  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, particularly with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft PowerBI and SharePoint Online

  • Experience with a business process mapping tool

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing, and to lead presentations, training, and meetings

  • Ability to work effectively on a team and foster relationships across other departments

  • Ability to support work across multiple time zones with international colleagues

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills essential

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly master new tasks

  • Demonstrated technical knowledge, experience, and aptitude in organizational design and/or organizational capacity building.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree + Five years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Three years of relevant experience, or PhD
